The AAAS Poster Sessions provide the opportunity for
individuals to present their research and offer an excellent venue for extended
informal discussion with meeting attendees. For session dates, times, and

American Junior Academy of Sciences |

This special poster session is
only for high school students
who have been invited to participate by their respective State Science
Academies.
Eligibility: By invitation only.
Unsolicited posters are not accepted in this session.
General Poster Session |

This session offers an opportunity to present research to the broad community of
scientists attending the AAAS Meeting.
Eligibility: Open to doctoral candidates,
postdocs, and professionals.
Student Poster Competition |

Recognizes the individual
efforts of students actively working toward an undergraduate or master's degree.
Eligibility: Open only to students for work recently performed while enrolled in an undergraduate- or graduate-level
program or Master's degree program. Doctoral candidates, post-doctoral scholars, and professionals are not eligible. All co-authors also
must be undergraduate or graduate-level students. Students who are first authors on posters presented during 2009 are encouraged to enter
the competition.
Students are not eligible if they won a competition which included, as an award, presenting at the AAAS Annual Meeting.
However, they can submit their posters to be considered for the General Poster Session, which is held Sunday afternoon during the meeting.

chapter.
